sorry it took me so long to reply. I never could get my COM component to
work properly after I implemented all of your suggestions. I converted the
COM to a ISAPI dll and not had any problems since.

I'm not quite sure how this fixes my problem. A TppVariable is declared at
the top of the datamodule while I'm declaring my global variables in the
private section of the datamodule. How does the variable type make a
difference?

Ok, I found that I can access the TppReport component through the
aEventParams that are passed to the ReportVolume, which gives me access to
CreateAutosearchCriteria and Create AutoSearchFields. Only questions now is
which ReportVolum…Nope, I've got 7.02, I'll get .03 and give it a try.
