Thanks for the response. I agree that the learning curve for WebSnap is
rather high. The most difficult part is simply getting direct access to
requests so the response.content can be sent back. Perhaps they have tried
to automate … -
I did read on the that Web Snap can be used with RBServer and that there are
demos for this, but the demos that came with RBServer do not include on for
Web Snap. Am I missing something?

I was already aware of the TrsWebTier.SessionOptions.SessionTimeOut setting.
I currently have it set to 20, which I would assume means that once a
session has been inactive for 20 seconds, it is tossed. This is not
working. My MaxSe… -
Additionally, this problem is obviously not a problem coming from the
RBServer implementation, because I can restart the RBServer but the web tier
still sends clients to the 'server is busy' page until I restart the web
tier.
Just another note that I found interesting. I pulled up my task manager to
view my memory and processor usage. CPU usage was 100% while memory was
only using 256 of my 512 total physical memory. I checked the processes and
apache w…I loaded RB 7.03 and Pragnaan 2.03 and recompiled both the webmodule and the
Server application. Same results. It varies between 15 to 20 minutes with
each run.
The browser pops up but does not immediatly load Adobe. Instead i…Thanks Nard,
I have 7.02. I'll update to 7.03 and see how it works.

It's a very interesting test.
I created the simple delphi application with the same report.rtm and it took
40 seconds to send it to an RAF file. I then placed an archivereader on the
form along with pragnaan and printed the rep…Nard,
I've just discovered that the table in question is a synonym and is
actually in another database, just in the one place. All other
databases have the table.
Is there anything to be done for this case?
I've saved the report while connect to the db that fails. Before saving
the report ran and displayed data without any problems. All the report
servers are the same program, just start with a different db according
to command line…Thanks.
I will experiment with that.
Hi Lukas,
well I think I didn't read your question to well.
It seems that you still want to use the report
webviewer ? In that case I think you should use
the solution Nard gave you.
About the com+ solution, for every …Hi Rob,
The problem is that my solution is not as stable as I would like it to be.
Every day or so, my web report server gets hung up and I have to unload the
web. I'm not sure if it's a threading issue or something else.
C…Lukas,
I hope you don't mind me replying, but what's
wrong with you current solution ?
IMHO I don't see big advantages in using the
RB Server architecture for the way you have
implemented it now. What you could do isThanks for the info.
Another question:
Is there a way to bypass the web report viewer entirely in your ISAPI
architecture? I have no need to view the report in a web viewer first.
Here is the background:
I have a…Many thanks!
It's a solution Thx.
But wouldn't it be a great new features that in the items table not only
reports, core of data modules could be stord but as wel raf files.
It souldn't be a huge change for you guys, the data sturcture is ready, t…Ok, but what if the feed comes out of a database ??
I can't find a Parent field as in the Folder Table ?
I'm having a quit sofisticated security system in the database on the Tree
structures and even on the selectable parameters…Found the problem.
As the server provides content for a web-interface with security i'm using a
select on the folder en item table joined to other tables. This way the user
only gets the reports he is allowed to use. Problem was that …Thx
Ok!
I thought that there is a group "tech tips" and I cennot see it!

Where does that "Start a new Web Session" come from?
There is not such a content in Tech tip newsgroup?
Can you explain?

I've missed some years i'm afraid, should i take the 8 now or still the 7.
Nard,
Thx for the reply, i will look into it if the switch to D7 is possible, as
we have quite some add-on products this is a quite expensive change. The
price wouldn't even be the problem, i must look if all products still exis…Nard,
You asked me to provide a demo with NorthWind, that is a SqlServer database
as far as i know. I'm going to look in the company for a Access license, i

Thx for the news.
If its TeeChart, are there alternatives ??
Nard,
What is the status on this issue, i'm not pushing for a solution but just
want to know if my code crashes at your office too ?
Could you please let me know, i'm waiting for several days already an

It would be a huge satisfaction to me that you could reproduce the problem,
of course, if it does i'm sorry to put you to work.
