Note that the email address shows fine in the report preview. It is only in the export text file (or export xls data) that the field gets excluded. The pdf export works fine too.

I found the problem. Totally on me. Sorry to waste your time, but I do appreciate you looking at it for me.
I had a routine that sets the email variables on all the reports for emailing. I had a call that did the following:
I sent the exception report by email.
I notice that I can access the report designer fine. I can load reports into the designer fine. When I click the preview tab in the designer, I get the access violation.
Any ideas would …I have a mad except report but it is too long to send as a post. I will send it via email.

I am using RB 16 with Delphi XE7.
I setup another computer with Delphi 10.2.3 and RB19. The error still happens under that system exactly the same way. I use NexusDB database.
