Intesive report of 5000 pages hangs at 2000 pages - RAF file

?I have a very large report that hangs intermitantly when printing to an
RAF file. Does any one have any suggestions on what I can do to
troubleshoot this?


This report usually works when one of the following workarounds are
applied. Any ideas?

1) Try saving the file to a local location instead of a network location
2) Try saving the file as a pdf instead of an RAF
3) Try coping the report and run the new instance of the report
4) Create a new instance of the report

Hi Caralene,

Which version of ReportBuilder and Delphi are you using? Are you able to
recreate this with a smaller report? When the report hangs, are you forced
to close your appliction or does it eventually finish?

If you pause Delphi with the RBuilder source in your library path, you may
be able to see where the slowdown is occuring. Let me know if you find
anything and I can test here on my end.

Hi Car,

I'm a bit confused about the issue. Are you using a registered version of
ReportBuilder with Delphi? If so, which version of ReportBuilder and Delphi
are you using? Are you able to recreate this issue in a stand-alone app?

Hi Nick,

I have a server version of the reprot that I am working on so I will
leave the dll version of the report (that hangs) hanging ...
