Email from preview screen causes modal screens to disappear

edited September 2008 in General
Hi,

We are using Report Builder 10.09 on a Windows XP machine with Delphi 2006.

The following problem occurs whenever we attempt to email a report from the
Report Builder Preview screen:

The default email dialog screen (Outlook for us) will load like it is
supposed to, however this causes all other modal screens from our
application to hide or become invisible. After closing the email dialog,
the program returns control to our main application screen with out
returning focus to the screens that were open previously. This causes
problems in our application since the hiding of these screens freezes
certain parts of our program and skips critical code that needs to run after
the email dialog has closed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Justin

    Hi Justin,

We have had issues similar to this one for versions earlier than 10.09. Are
you able to recreate the issue using demo 110 located in the
\RBuilder\Demos\1. Reports\... directory. If so, please give me the exact
steps I can take to recreate this issue on my machine.

    Nico,

I ran the demo but could not duplicate the error we are having. I am not
quite sure what the difference is between what the demo is doing and what we
    are doing.

    Hi Justin,

If possible please create a simple example that creates a similar
environment to the one in your main application and try to recreate the
issue. Send the example in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com and
I'll take a look at it for you.
