RB11 & D2009

edited September 2008 in General
Hi, I'm having some difficulties installing RB11.

Firstly, I have both D2007 and D2009 installed on the same
system. Secondly, I have RB 10.09 installed for D2007.

Now when I run the installation program and enter my
password, it runs a bit then the installation program
gives me the following message:

"Please run Delphi 2009 once and then exit.

This will initialize the Delphi registry settings required to
install ReportBuilder."

I click on OK and it's back to the desktop. I do have
D2009 installed. Am I supposed to uninstall RB 10.09 before
installing RB11?

Any clarifications/help appreciated.

Edmund

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for the info, we are currently working on this issue.

The ReportBuilder installer checks to see that the
HKCU\Software\CodeGear\BDS\6.0\Library key is present to be sure the product
has been run at least once on the current machine.

    1. Does this key exist on your machine?

    2. Which OS are you intalling to? (Vista, XP)

    3. Are you installing on a 64-bit system?

    4. Are you installing as the same user that installed Delphi and do you
    have full administrator rights?

    Hi Ed,

This issue has been found and addressed. A new build of ReportBuilder Pro
for Delphi 2009 has been uploaded. Please re-download ReportBuilder and
    re-install.

    Yes, it does exist.

    Vista Business SP1

    Nope.

Yes to both, even though I sometimes doubt the second one. But
essentially, I installed D2009. If it makes any difference,
I selected "Just for me" during installation instead of "All users".

    Hi Harry,

Yes that has always been the case with any version of ReportBuilder.
