Data Model dissapears - RB 10.09 Delphi 6.02

edited September 2008 in General
Hi

I have been having problems lately where the data model in one of my reports
starts to migrate downwards and can end up with some ridiculous Top =
settings. I had one the other day where the Top value ended up around 45000.

The report has about 14 tables on it and this proves quite inconvienient to
say the least. I operate with dual screens set to fairly high resolutions.
The other day when the extreme case happened I was running 1920 x 1200 on a
dual screen setup - does this have something to do with it. The other issue
which is related to this is that sometimes when this happens it does not
allow me to move some of the tables.

Any help gratefully received.

Regards
Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

I'm sorry but I'm a bit unclear about what you mean by the "Data Model".
Are you referring to the data views created in the Data Tab of the designer
(DADE) or are you referring to actual report components on your report?

If you run the report on a single screen system, do you get the same
    behavior?

I do mean the Data tab. I don't run it on any single screen setup but will
    try that.

What I mean by dissappear is that the model ends up way down the screen and
you need to scroll to it. Sometimes if I go back into Design and then back
to Data the model comes back into view. I was just wondering whether the
multiple screens was causing boundary issues with calculating object
    positions.

Also this only seems to happen on this report with a lot of dataviews on it.

Have not heard of this issue before. If you can determine some reproducible
steps, please post here. We do not have any dual monitor setups.
