Stack overflow with RB11 reports..

edited October 2008 in General
Hi All,

I have a fatal problem with RB11 reports. When the reports are previewed,
there is no error, but when clicking on the print button - it generates
stack overflow and the application form disappears (crashes). Removing
version 11 and installing 10.09 fixes the problem ie. no error
previewing/printing.

Does anyone know what it can be, how can I debug the issue?

Rad Studio 2007, RB11 and RB10.09 Std.

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,
H?seyin A.

PS. After removing RB11 and installing RB10.09 the reports had some property
changes which i have ignored..

    Hi Hüseyin,

If you set your library path to the \RBuilder\Source\ directory, are you
able to trace into the RB source where the problem is occuring? This may
help in isolating the issue and give us some clues on how to recreate the
problem with a simple example on our machines.

    Hi Nico,

I have some news on my stack overflow issue. I've also tried with 11.01, it
    fails also but..
It seems that when I enable BackgroundPrintSettings and set it to active,
then the stack overflow disappears. Hope it's information you can use.

    Best regards,
    H?seyin A.

    Hi Hüseyin,

Below are a couple items to try.

    1. Try re-downloading RB 11.01 and reinstalling. There is a newer build
    available from the same link.

    2. If your report units are set to Printer Pixels, try changing them.

    3. Try tracing into the RB source once you receive the error and see if you
can find out where the issue is occuring.
