Latest Build
Hi
I have recentlly updated ReportBuilder to Vesrsion 11.02 (XP and Delphi
2007) and since then have been havinging strange Access Violations when
trying to EMail. This was with demo 110 as well as my own applications.
After seeing other posts I realised that this was likely to be a problem
with the build of 11.02 that I had downloaded so I downloaded the latest and
the problem is now fixed. My question is how can you check which build you
have and what the latest is. All the installation files report the same
version number (11.0.0.0) so that is of no help and there is nothing in
Announcements. I suggest that there ought to be so some standard procedure.

Our standard procedure is to create patches for bugs and then once a month
or so, roll those up into an official maintenance release. In some cases we
may decide to do a new build. To clarifying things we probably should send
out email notifications for the cases in which we issue a new build. Thanks
for your feedback.

I would like to support Tim in his observation.

Perhaps your installer could have a suffix with version stamp or release
date, then we can compare to see what is the latest version we have
downloaded.
This is not only cool, but quite a standard and necessary software protocol.
I hope you have a Prosperous, and Blessed New Year, and experience the Grace
of God in the year to come.

We will research it.
A solution is only viable if it can be automated. We are currently
supporting 6 Delphi versions (D2009, D2007, D2006, D2005, D7, D6) with 4 RB
Editions (Server, Enterprise, Professional, Standard) plus trial and
registered versions. So that makes 48 builds. We use an automated build
system.
All the best in the coming year to you in the coming year!
