rbRAP117 & rbRIDE117 missing
Hi,
After installing 11.03, I found that there were a few dpk/bpl's missing.
In particular, rbRAP117 & rbRIDE117 no longer exist as a dpk or a bpl. This
means that our application cannot use them as previously in 11.02.
Is there a reason why I cannot see these packages/libraries to use?
Best regards,
J

If you need to build your application with packages, the .dcp files are
located in the \RBuilder\Lib directory. The .bpl files are located in the
WINSYS\... directory. These should be the only files you need to include
RAP in your application with packages.
Looking at our previous installation scripts, we did not include the .dpk
files for the RAP packages with RB 11.02.

The rbRIDE117.bpl exists as you mention (dated 20/02/2009), but the problem
appeared when I tried to build our application with the new 11.03 and I
received a message to recompile rbRIDE117 package. ("Never-build package
rbRIDE117 must be recompiled")
In this example, in our application we have raIDE in our uses clause. I then
tried to build the RB packages separately, but failed.
To fix this, I uninstalled completely, and manually deleted all Report
Builder references I could find (the .dcp files located in the \RBuilder\Lib
directory and the .bpl files located in the WINSYS\... directory.)
Then reinstalled RB and rebuilt the Extra Devices (from Waler) and
compilation was finally ok.
I think things got worse when I tried to compile and build the RB packages
individually.
Thanks for your patience.

PS also, FYI on a separate note, the rbDBDE117 package refers to a pas file
in the wrong directory.
