Hi

I am using printing with UseBackgroundThread = True. Now all is well if I
just print I am able to use my app while this happens as you might expect.
The problem comes with the archive device.

If I use this to produce a copy to be filed in my database the system hangs
quite noticeably.

Is the Archive Device running in the background thread as well? If not is
there a solution to this?

Hi Andrew,

Are you using the Report.BackgroundPrintSettings property to enable
background printing? If possible, please send a simple example I can run
here that shows the difference between printing to file and printing to the
printer. These should technically behave the same as far as background
printing is concerned.
