Vista Compliance of RB 10.09?

edited September 2009 in General
Hello, I found a strange problem with RB 10.09

Access violation in module 'comctl32.dll'

ReportBuilder Enterprise Edition version 10.09
Vista SP1 en Vista SP2

This error occurs when a the form that contains ReportBuilder is freed.

This error only occurs when the an existing report has been changed. It is
not necessary that the changed report has been saved.

This error does not occurs when:
If the upper band of the report has been changed (as well).
On Windows XP SP3

    Hi Ruud,

Is this occuring at runtime or Delphi designtime? Which version of Delphi
    are you using?

RB 10.09 was not fully Vista compliant. If you are saving your reports as
templates you may need administrator privileges in order to do so and that
may be causing the error. Try running your application, or Delphi, as the
administrator (right click, "run as administrator") and see if that helps.
ReportBuilder 11 is structured to be more Vista friendly. You might
consider downloading a trial copy of the latest version and testing with
    that.

    Hi Nico,

Thank you for your quick response to my questions.
It occurs at runtime and I use Delphi 2007 for Win32® R2 Version
    11.0.2902.10471
Running the program as administrator doesn't help.
It is not required to save the report template; just changing the top band
and close report and the form on which the report is located causes the
    error.
The previous version of report builder I used (7.03) works fine (also on
    Vista).

    Hi Ruud,

This was not a known issue with RB 10.09. Are you able to recreate this
with a minimal application (report, designer on a form with a button)? Have
    you tried using RB 11?
