Newbie questoin re: record order

I am just starting with RB. I have a simple Master-detail report. The detail
subreport records have as their data source an SQL query. In the SQL query I
order them by a particular field, but in the report, they are not in order
by that field. Shouldn't they be? If not, how do I get them in the order I
want?

Hi Whitney,

For a master detail report, you want to be sure that you first order the
detail dataset by the linking field, then by any other fields you need in
order. Take a look at the following article on the fundamentals of
