Russian characters in a Report Builder RTF memo?

?I'm trying to enable my users to input russian characters in a RB report.
My database is correctly storing the Russian characters, but when I
output the report to PDF, the characters always show up as question marks.

How can I output a PDF RB report with russian characters?

Hi Croceldon,

Which version of ReportBuilder and Delphi are you using?

The current version of ReportBuilder does not support Unicode text inside an
exported PDF file. It does however support the Cyrillic charset of ANSI
fonts. If you are using an ANSI font that supports the Cyrillic charset and
your machine regional settings are set properly, the Russian characters
should display correctly.

Unicode support for PDF is a feature we are strongly considering adding to
the next major release of ReportBuilder.

I'm using RB 11.07 and Delphi 2009.

I am also having trouble showing the Euro symbol inside of Rich Text
controls in my report, though they display properly in label controls.

How can I get this symbol to show properly in the rich text controls?

I just tried setting the font of the rich text control to
RUSSIAN_CHARSET, and set my machine's regional settings to Russian, but
it didn't work. I still just get question marks in the resulting PDF file.

Hi Jason,

In my testing, changing my regional settings to Russian, then exporting
Russian text inside a TppRichText component to PDF worked correctly. Be
sure you are using a font that supports the Russian (Cyrillic) charset. I
was using the Arial font.

If you are still having issues with this, you can send me a small example
that demonstrates the problem to support@digital-metaphors.com in .zip
format and I'll take a look at it for you.

Nico,

I've sent you a zip file with a test project. It's simply not doing as
you say. It will show Russian characters only when printing to the
screen. Printing to a pdf file with Russian characters only shows
question marks in place of the characters, regardless of what the
Windows Language/Region is set to. The test report is using the Arial font.

Please advise.
