reworking existing report

I have an existing and overcomplicated report design I wish to
simplify. In particular, there are six different groups in the design,
and I am confident it could be done with one or two. I can either
rework this design, or start over. I would prefer to rework, for now.

In group header 2, there is a ppRegion which I wish to move to group
header 5. I tried to cut and paste, but it returns in group 1. It does
not seem to be possible to drag it to a different group, either. How
can this relocation be accomplished?

Hi Bill,

In my quick testing with a new report, I created two groups and added a
region with a number of components in the first group's header band. I
was then able to easily either drag or copy that region to the second
group's header band without issue.

Is the ParentWidth and ParentHeight of the region set? If so, you will
need to disable these before dragging. Copying worked with these set.

Perhaps you can set up a simple example like mine and it will give you
some clues to what is happening in your main report.
