Report Runs Continuously
Hello,
It appears that the vertical placement of fields and regions within the
detail band are causing a particular report to generate pages endlessly.
If the report is only a page or less it runs to completion. But once past a
certain number of rows/pages it races. The report originally did not
utilize regions. It was hard-coded to set the top of certain fields by
referencing other fields within the detail band. Some of the referenced
fields are not always visible. So I put the objects within regions. But I
have seen the problem of racing again and it appears related to the smallest
positioning changes to the regions.
Is it possible that "crowding" the fields vertically could cause this
problem? Is there anything else I could look for?
Thank you,
Michael Malinowski

Which version of ReportBuilder are you currently using?
There were certain cases where the report design could cause endless
pages however most of those cases have been addressed for the latest
version of RB.
First, I suggest taking a look at the following article on
troubleshooting endless pages.
http://www.digital-metaphors.com/rbWiki/Output/Preview/Troubleshooting:_Endless_Pages
If none of these suggestions help, please try to create a simple example
similar to the report(s) that show this behavior that we can run here
and send it to us in .zip format so we can research the problem.
Send the example to support@digital-metaphors.com

In the meantime I will review the article.
