Some reports fail to complete on 17.02

edited January 2017 in General
Hi folks,

I just upgrade to Berlin and RB 17.02 FROM XE2 AND RB 14.00, and the
updgrade went almost fine. However I found out that some reports that
previously worked fine, now fail to complete without any error message
whatsoever.

Let say I have a report that render 12 pages, with the grand total
summary on the last page on RB 14.00, in RB 17.02 it stops on page 5
with no summary... nothing. This behavior does not affect every report,
since others with more pages render just fine.

What I also have notice is that every other report that fails, also stop
at page 5. Coincidence?...

Has anyone else run into the problem? Any ideas?

Regards,
Mario

    Hi Mario,

This is not a known issue. Please create a simple example showing this
behavior using only Delphi and RB components and send it to
support@digital-metaphors.com in .zip format so we can test it with the
    latest version of ReportBuilder.

Hey Nico, thank you for your prompt answer.

Creating an example is going be difficult, but I'll find way around it.

In the meantime I've found that the problem is RAP related, since I have
a couple of events on two lables (OnGetText / OnPrint) that if I remove
it the report generates completly. However, if I just comment all the
code as no to have anything to execute but keep the event procedures,
    the problem appears.

The same code works just fine on RB 14.0.

Could I be missing some unit or declaration that must be there since 14.0?

    No.

We've never heard of anything like this.
