Thanks for your interest in ReportBuilder for FMX!
The latest version of ReportBuilder includes our REST reporting services with FMX support. This essentially gives you the ability to view, navigate, and print all your current reports from the FMX platform which includes mobile and Mac.
Examples can be found in the RB Demos\Rest\.. directory.
Note that the new REST Services feature is only available for RB Enterprise and Server and is included with RB for Delphi 10.1 Berlin and 10.2 Tokyo.
not sure, if I get this right. I have a client app running with FMX on a Mac. My app has to communicate with RB server (with FMX support) via REST to print the reports?
You are correct, in order to preview/print reports from an FMX platform, a VCL REST server is required to perform report generation, etc.
This solution was mainly designed with mobile platforms in mind to give our users an easy way to print/preview/search existing reports in a light-weight phone or tablet based environment.
If we find enough interest for a rich FMX version of ReportBuilder, we will consider something like that in the future.
