Use of Manatory and ShowAll

In DataDictionary and Data Designer, what is the use of this field that
seems to exist in Criteria Setting. I see no difference in SQL regardless if
I check or uncheck the option. For ShowAll, it seems that it ignored the
Criteria set.

    when using a mandatory criteria, the user must provide input. Your conclusion for 'ShowAll' is right.
