Is it possible to alternate shading for each record?

Thanks,

    Hi John,

You can do this by placing a shape inside the detail band and toggling its
visibility inside the DetailBand.BeforePrint event. See the following
    example...

    Nico,

This works...However, I'm wondering if there is a way to turn this
on/off to adapt to any reports a user is working with....And, also to
    handle any number of subreports?

Since its a very common thing for reports, could this be a wishlist
    report property item?

    Thanks again.

    Hi John,

I will add it to our wish list however, it is possible to create these
components dynamically for each report you load. Let me know exactly what
you would like your application to do and how your users interact with it
and I can give you some advise on how to implement this type of feature.

    Nico,

    Thanks.

I was just thinking from a developer standpoint also...

That is, if a detail band had a "setting" that both the developer and
end-user could set to alternate shading. The detail record band fill
color could be set as well, just as it now is with a shape. This way,
alternate shading could be turned on/off in any number of
    reports/subreports.

Thanks again for your time!...Its not a big deal just would be a nice
    feature.
