Your report builder has been highly recommended to me and I do plan to
purchase it.
However, I currently have a project that it will be used for and I am having
to learn Delphi 7, Advantage Database Server, Developer's Express Quantum
Grid and I will need to learn how to use your Report Builder.
My greatest need is to find a tutorial that will get me up and running as
quickly as possible.
Do you have such a tutorial that is written so that I can follow a step by
step process, so as not to spend a lot of time.
I only need basic printing, such as master/detail reports, all text based.
This will at least get me started, the more advanced features can come
later.
Is it possible to be printing with your Report Builder in a day or so????

PS. Dephi's rave reports will NOT work for me.

Thanks for your interest in ReportBuilder! Below this message is an article
icluding all the resources available to make learning to use ReportBuilder
quick and easy. I would personally recommend downloading and installing a
trial version of ReportBuilder 9.02, then working through the ReportBuilder
Developer's Guide first. This will be located in the \RBuilder\Developers
Guide\... directory after you install. Once you finish reading and working
through each turorial, you will then have the knowledge and skills needed to
create the reports you want with great ease.

1. Learning ReportBuilder is a complete learning system designed to teach

3. Developer's Guide

When you install RB, this guide is automatically installed into the
RBuilder\Developers Guide directory. It contains extensive conceptual
information and step by step tutorials which show how to construct reports
and reporting applications within the context of the Delphi IDE.


4. On-Line Help

Accessible via a single click of the F1 key from with the Delphi IDE, this
reference resource explains the classes, methods, properties and events
which make up the product. It is also an excellent source of information
regarding installation, troubleshooting and version history.


5. Examples

There are a large number of example reports and reporting applications
included with RB. These show how to accomplish some of the most frequently
requested types of reports. In total there are probably over 200 different
examples covering everything from crosstabs to full-blown end-user reporting
solutions. The RAP functionality included with ReportBuilder Enterprise has
a separate set of demos, tutorials, and help files.

The newsgroups are very active with both Digital Metaphors engineers, TeamDM
members (volunteers specially selected for their knowledge of RB and their
willingness to help) and RB developers all pitching in to answer questions
and help each other out. There is also a Tech Tips 'newsgroup' maintained
