Transparent Rich Edit

edited February 2006 in End User
I have a Page style band setup with grid lines on it that print behind other
elements on the report. Everything works perfectly, however, on top of one
of the grids is a rich text field that is set to transparent that previews
perfectly, but when printed blocks out the grid below it. Just to make sure
I am clear, when previewing you can see the grid behind the text and the
text appears to sit inside the grid perfectly. But when you hit print, you
don't get what you see in preview. You end up with a square white box of
text over the grid and you can no longer see the lines.

Any ideas?

    Glenn,

Send the rich text object to the back and you should be OK.

    Hi Glenn,

Some printers do not handle transparency very well. My suggestion is to be
sure you have the latest version of the printer driver for your printer
installed or perhaps try printing to a different printer and see if you can
    get better results.
