End User Report defaults

edited February 2006 in End User
Is there a way to make double clicking on the report in the end user viewer,
run preview on the report instead of opening the report in design mode? I'd
rather have them right click to modify the report than to have to do that to
run. Just seems a little backwards.

Thanks

Well, I have set itemaction to iaOpenToPreview but when I double click the
report it still opens in design mode... Are there other settings required
as well to make it behave? I have gone through the entire component and
don't see anything else that would be related but perhaps its hidden
    somewhere.

    Thanks,

    Hi Glenn,

Are you setting this property at design time or at runtime? If you run the
End User demo located in the \RBuilder\Demos\3. EndUser\1. Report Explorer\
directory and change the ppReportExplorer1.ItemAction to iaOpenToPreview in
the object inspector, do you get the same behavior? In my testing with RB
10 and this example, the reports opened to the preview when double clicked.

My fault. I had opened the form from the original project folder to look at
something and was making my change to that form instead of the one inside my
program module. Sorry for the trouble...
