Canvas does not allow drawing

Sometimes when editing a report template in the end-user designer some user
gets the message "Canvas does not allow drawing".
Exiting the designer and trying to open the report for editing I repeatedly
get the message "Error Reading Template - Canvas does not allow drawing.
Ignore the error and continue?"

Any ideas what might be causing it?

Hi Yannis,

Which version of ReportBuilder are you using? The exception 'Canvas does
not allow drawing' occurs when RB cannont access the printer. Typically this
is thrown when there is not a default printer installed. Try installing a
printer on the machine that has the problems (even if there is not one
connected to it). As an alternative, you can also set the PrinterName
property to Screen so ReportBuilder will be able to generate reports without
the use of a printer driver. As always, be sure you have the latest
versions of your printer and video drivers installed.
