Does anyone know if version 10 allows you to use the data dictionary on the client, so end users can access dad, when the database connection is on the remote server. I know you couldn't in version 9 but was hoping it might have been added to 10.
In my testing with the existing DataSnap plugin, I was able to successfully use the DataDictionary at design time in the client if my server was active. If you set the client datsets to active, the field will be available to the dictionary at design time. Take a look at the following example if you do not already have it. I updated it to work correctly with RB 10 for Delphi 7.
