ReportParameters in End User Designer - Unusable?

edited April 2006 in End User
We purchased ReportBuilder Server so we can replace our current
reporting with ReportBuilder and give the business people the ability to
create reports in the End User Designer.

I have been trying to get my head around a lot of the functionality of
the parameters handling and RAP for a while now. Part of the problem is
my lack of experience with parameters in ReportBuilder, in addition to
needing to implement the parameter handling using a report server. I
have some questions/problems:

1) The end user designer does nothing when the ParameterEditor property
is selected. Is it possible to create report parameters in the
designer? If not, this severely limits it's usability, so when will
this be available?

2) I'm currently only concerned with support for a Win32 client. I
would like to create a dialog framework that would allow me to read all
defined ReportParameters and construct a form dynamically using the name
of the ReportParameter to determine what controls to create on the
dialog. Is this possible?

3) Is there any advantage/disadvantage to using Autosearch parameters
vs. ReportParameters if you don't want the Autosearch dialog to be invoked?
