Help with IBO

edited June 2006 in End User
Please help

I am trying to move away from the good old BDE and use IBO.

I have downlaoded the latest version of IBO (trial edition).

I am using RB 7, D 7.

I cannot get the test demo app to compile. I keep getting errors referring
to daIBO, IBODataset and DCU files not found.

I have since find a package file in the demo folder and tried to install
that but the versions of files I have must be fdifferent.

Can anyone help and point me in the right direction to get the demo to work

Cheers

Mark

    Hi Mark,

You need to be sure your library path is pointing toward the proper IBO
    files to compile correctly.

Open the source of the package and be sure the IBO files and packages
included are the correct name and version for the version you are using.

I have opened the source of the package to make sure that the Required Files
now point to the version of the files I downloaded from IBObjects.

The package that I have from you was using IBO40CRT.dcp and IBO40XRT.dcp
when I have IBO40CRT_D7.dcp and IBO40XRT_D7.dcp. That now gets me a little
    further

The only issue I have now is that its complaining about not finding
IBODataset.dcu. I cannot find the source file for this anywhere so please
    advise once more

    Thanks

    Hi Mark,

I downloaded the IBO4 demo and verified the issue.

I contacted Jason Wharton and he said that this is a known issue that he is
working on. He asked me to have you contact him so he could possibly have a
look at your installation logs and track down the problem. His contact
email address is located at the bottom right corner of the IBO web page.
