Descriptions of Report

Hi

Is there a property that will allow us to write a brief description of
what the report does, that could then be displayed in the Report Explorer?

    Hi Jamie,

    This is not a feature of the Report Explorer. It may be possible however to
    add a "Description" field to the Items dataset that holds this information
    and display it as a hint or in the listbox of a custom report explorer. See
    the tutorial located in the \RBuilder\Tutorials\Complete\II.
    Applications\04. End-User with Custom Explorer\... directory for an example
    of creating a custom explorer.

    We did exactly this...

    Added a field to RB_ITEM and then added a menu item to view the Report
    Description
