You don't say what version or components you are using.
You might want to check all the alignments and widths for your display
components. It's probably generating the extra column because a detail field
isn't aligned with its header precisely (left & width) so it forces a new
Excel column.

ReportBuilder does not natively include Excel export. Which third party
tool are you using to do this. For a quicker response, you may want to
contact thier support directly via email.

If it is ExtraDevices, do not use autosize, only a fixed width and all the
same width. I don't think you will have any luck with stretching memos
either (but we never use those for Excel output).
When your report is set up this way, previews in RB do not look good (text
gets truncated) but the Excel file will be fine with regards to data staying
in the right columns.

U r right, i m using Pragnan in support with RBuilder to get data
exported to Excel.
I m sorry for insuffeicient Information.
What makes these extra columns replicate in???

Sheetal.

This is not an issue with ReportBuilder. If you are using Pragnaan to export
to Excel then please contact Pragnaan tech support with any question/issues.

and About AutoSize, if i m not using that my report look also report
data would be a bit unexpected one.
Is it that, really causes this column to get added or any other things
like PageWidth etc. matters?

ExtraDevices is an add on component from www.waler.com for RB to allow
output to various types (Excel, PDF, etc), it is the one I use.
Sorry, I don't understand what you're saying here
For a report to export correctly and look right in Excel, I've always set
fixed & same widths on everything, no autosizing.
You can't expect a report that looks good in the preview to work just the
same in Excel. Page widths don't really matter for Excel either so long as
it's wide enough for all your labels/fields to fit accross the page in the
designer.
I would do one report with everything fixed widths, etc. for Excel and
another report for users to preview or print out.
You really need to take this up whoever supplies your Excel device
components if the above doesn't help.
Regards, Paul.
