odd behaviour of ppDesigner
Hi,
I am still using RB professional 7.04.
I have created end user reporting in several applications happily over the
last few years.
I have an application in one suite with a form that includes the objects
needed to make end user reporting owrk.
I have added a form in another app, copying everything from the form in the
first app, and all looks to be the same until I open a report in the
designer window.
The report designer shows only the Design and Preview tab and not the data
tab.
I have even added the form from app 1 as a form in app 2, opened from a main
screen, with the same result. I have checked and rechecked that the
properties on ppReportExplorer, ppDesigner, ppDatadictionary are the same in
both apps, I cannot see any difference.
What could cause this tab to be missing?
kind regards
John Evans

In order to enable the data workspace at runtime, you need to be sure the
daIDE unit is referenced in the uses clause of your application.
