Using D6 with RB11.04, just upgraded from RB9.04. Using the .ShowModal method of TppDesigner causes 2+GB of RAM to be used before an 'Object was open' EOLEException error occurs. Using the .Show method works fine.
This is not a known issue. Are you able to recreate this with the end-user demo or a simple example? If so, please send it in .zip format to support@digital-metaphors.com and we'll take a look at it for you.
The problem appears to be related to the designer automatically opening the pipelines/datasources accessed on the report. I have all of the pipelines OpenDataSource set to False. Is there a way to stop this?
Which database and connectivity are you using? In my quick testing with the DBDEMOS database and BDE, loading the designer with the OpenDataSource property set to False, did not open the dataset.
