RB have suport a MySql? Please?

We've never installed and tested a MySQL database. Therefore we have not
tested any DADE plugins for this database. If you search the web, there are
components available as a DADE plugin, but again, we've never tested them.

You can also connext to MySQL via DBExpress (D6 and D7) and use the
DBExpress DADE plugin.

Jim,

I am use Delphi 6.2 + DBEXpress + MySql 3.23.51, where use report-enduser
via ppExplorer, is RB generation o SQL is my server MySql is bolt. Please
know is problem? Is now test RB + DBExpress + MySQL? Or I am
make wrong.

We have not tested this conviguration. We have tested DBExpress with
Interbase. When using MySQL, the key problem you might experience is that
the autoincrement fields on the database table may not come back after a
post. You'll want to make sure that you can post a record and then retrieve
that value. That is the biggest problem that you may find in the end user
solution for any database. This is going to fire when you create a new
report item or folder in the database using the report explorer. You may
want to create some sample cod eusing DBExpress with this approach in a test
project with DBExpress posting a record and then trying to read the auti inc
field value from the database.

One other thing I forgot to mention, you may have to experiment with
different data types for the BLBO field for the report item templates. You
may have to use a Image type or a BLOB type.

I dont using Filed's auto inc, after varius test, discovery is erro ocurred
where have of next configuration:

Mestre -> detalhe -> detalhe

any report simples not ocurred problems but where work reports advanced is
ocurred problem. I am make over tests, in attempt discovery what
problem...if RB or DBExpress or MySQL.

Why yours not instalation MySql em you machine, he is FREE e Open Source.
Enough business using MySql, thus suporte over one BD. Remain sugestion....

We will look into installing MySQL. Last time we tried we couldn't get it
installed, but this was quite some time ago, perhaps their installation
procedure is better than in the past.
