Problems with daFIBPlus
Hi
I have downloaded the DADE plugin for FIBPlus and it does not appear to
work. Aside from the unit title not being correct ( I altered it to
daFIBPlus and then recompiled ). The unit would still not compile. The
errors were :-
daFIBPlus.pas(80): Method 'SetDatabaseName' not found in base class
daFIBPlus.pas(321): Undeclared identifier 'SetDatabaseName'
daFIBPlus.pas(380): Undeclared identifier 'DatabaseName'
daFIBPlus.pas(401): Undeclared identifier 'DatabaseName'
Could you please look into correcting this for us. We are using FIBPlus 5.2,
I don't know if this has some relation to the problem.
Also, once I do get it to compile how do I get to use it at Design Time. Or
do I have to do something else to get that to work. ?
Thank you

Please see the thread in this same newsgroup dated 2/17/2004 on this same
subject.
You might try to contact the publishers of the FIBPlus components. Perhaps
they have an updated plug-in or can provide one. You can also try to contact
the original author of the daFIBPlus unit and the developer who posted the
thread mentioned above. The other option is to update the plug-in yourself.
Digital Metaphors does not have the resources to create and maintain
plug-ins for every data access component set available to Delphi developers.
We rely on the publishers of the data access components and our customers to
contribute.
The daFIBPlust will likely be very similar to the daIBExpress plug-in
included with ReportBuilder.
