Changes made not saved V10

edited February 2006 in RAP
If you just make changes to the search criteria and not the report itself
V10 does not recognise that changes have been made and does not prompt tp
save the report when closing the designer.

    Hi Ken,

As a test I loaded the Customer/Order + Lookup report in the End User demo
located in the \RBuilder\Demos\3. End User\1. Report Explorer\... directory.
I moved to the Data tab and added some search criteria to one of the
queries. Then after trying to close, RB asked if I would like to save as
    expected.

Be sure you have the Report.SaveAsTemplate property set to True. If you are
still haveing problems, please provide the exact steps you are taking to
recreate this issue and I will try to create it on my machine.

    Nico,

I had a search already there on a date field.set as between but with the
values blank. When I just went an and entered to values and came out it
    didn't prompt.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ken,

Are you sure the Report.SaveAsTemplate property is set to True? The actual
template file will need to have been saved down with this property defined.
If you set this property for a report object, then load a template, the
property you just set will have no effect.

    Hi, Nico,

Definitely because if I change the report body it prompts to save.

    Hi Ken,

Below is the test I am performing. Let me know if you are able to see the
    same results...

    1. Open and run the EndUser demo located in the \RBuilder\Demos\3.
    EndUser\1. Report Explorer\... directory.
    2. Open the last report in the AutoSearch folder named "Not Like: Company
    (String)".
    3. Click the Data tab and edit the search criteria from "Not Like" to
    "Like".
    4. Try closing the designer.

This seems to work for me. I am asked if I would like to save the report.
Let me know how your case is different.
