Print Report from file preview slowing down as page number increases

We have a report that gets a field (each line is a record) from a text file. The file can be relatively big (1k to 10MB). Using Version 7.04 with Delphi 7 it was blazingimage fast. We upgraded to version 22.0 build 82 / Delphi 11.3 and the report is much, much slower, the more the time passes, the rendering of the next page gets even slower.
Details:
The report has a title, a header and the detail band where ppTextPipeline1ppField1 resides.
ppTextPipeline1: TppTextPipeline;
ppTextPipeline1ppField1: TppField;
ppReport1: TppReport;
Can you guys check that?

    I have just changed the source of the report, using a TppDBPipeline pointing to a temp mysql table with same data and the report preview became really Fast, 2000 pages in few seconds. There's something wrong with the text source to reports...
