PDF Formfields and Borders (RBuilder 19)

Hi,

I tested with Formfields and have some difficulties with the Border.Padding property.
- in my testing the border was not shown in the PDF-File
- if I set "Border.Style" to "psClear" then the border is not visible in preview but is visible in PDF

Can you confirm my problems?
Is there a solution?

Regards,
Josef

  • Hi Josef,

Sorry for the delay in this response. We are currently researching these issues and will get back to you as soon as a solution is found.

I can tell you that border padding is not currently supported for PDF form fields. This is something we will add for a later release.

  • Hi,

here another little imperfection in this context (tested in version 18.03, might be also in 19)
If I export a report to Word (doc) and a field has borderpositions set (e.g. bpLeft) then these borders are visible in the Word-Document even with Border.visible is set to false.

    Hi Josef,

There are now patches available for RB 19 and the following issues.

    1. PDF borders showing when Border.Style is psClear
    2. RTF borders showing when Border.Visible is False

Registered users of ReportBuilder can contact support@digital-metaphors.com to receive these patches.

  • Hello!
Is this problem also in the TppMemo component in RB19.01? I will see Border.Padding correctly on the preview, printed reports, and third-party PDF writers -- but not with the built-in PDF generator -- the borders there are not present. (I have some good examples if it helps.)
