changing usps postnet barcode width

PostNet barcodes, when printed for Zip+4 plus the 2-digit delivery
point number, are about 2.9 inches wide, which is too wide for the
popular Avery 5160 labels (3 across by 10 down, which are 2.63
inches).

Is it possible to squeeze the size of the barcode down a bit so that
it will fit?
