Please could you tell me how i can output my report to an excel file instead
of a .raf file

Most RB users are using TExtraDevices available from www.waler.com

Very recently, a competing set of ReportBuilder devices have been made
available by Pragnaan: http://www.pragnaan.com Scroll down a few messages
in this newsgroup and you should see their announcement.
