How do i set Background Color in TDbRichEdit

Hi

No matter what I set the background color of a TDbRichEdit
to, it always fills a small portion of the start with the specified
color, but the rest, where the text is, is always white.
Transparency is set to False.

Does anyone else get this behaviour and/or know how to
get the background colour to be everywhere in the control.
