How not to print a detail band

I have a simple master-detail report. I want the ''master'' detail band not
to print if a certain value is present in one field. I can't do it in the
query itself because the it is a calculated field. I feel idiot not finding
an easy way to do it. I looked for the beforePrint event of the detail
band, but it doesn't seem to allow not to print it.

Your help will be very appreciated!
