Report1.datapipeline - property not found - Version issue?

edited December 2001 in General
I am currently running rbuilder 5.55 on Delphi 5. When trying to open a
delphi form with several reports on it, I am getting error messages for
reports, dbEdits, etc. saying the property does not exists (datapipeline). I
am almost sure that these were done with a different version of Rbuilder but
is this what is causing the problem? If I ignore all errors, I can
eventually open the form and look at the report. On all components that have
a datapipeline property, it is blank. The program was written by someone
else and I need to edit it. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Did you also receive any report tempate files (.rtm)? If they are in ascii
format, you can open them up as a text file and check to see the RB version
entry line. This may help determine if the file is older or newer then RB
5.55. If you reconnect the datapipeline assignments to the
Report.Datapipeline property, do the reports begin working?

Can you upgrade to RB 6.03? It is still a free upgrade from RB 5.55.

Jim, Thank your for your response. As I think we both suspected, it was a
version issue. After upgrading to 6.03, all problems went away (guess
someone upgraded before I did ) . I do appreciate your help.

    Happy Holidays,
    Roger
