LabelPageNumber

edited January 2002 in General
I am using the Avery 5160 label and my customer would like the page
number printed at the bottom of the page. I have tried several ways to
do this but I lose the bottom row of labels on each page. Is there a
way to do this and have all the labels printed on the page or print the
page number on the lower righthand label of each page?

Thanks

Try placing a system variable set to count the pages, in the PageStyle band.
This band prints behind all of the detail bands. Just resize the PageStyle
to be the size of the page.

    Jim:

I gave this a try and it will let me place the system var where it needs to be,
but it doesn' t print it out on the bottom of the label page. I can see it in
    print preview.

    Thanks

The 5160 label paper is the same size as a letter format. Try using a
footer band instead of the page style band. I pulled out the avery labels
paper to see what space is available on the bottom. You should be able to
get away with a footer band on the bottom of the page which will print below
    the labels.

On the label paper itself, I dropped a ruler on it, and there appears to be
roughly 0.50 inches of space available below the bottom row of labels.
There is a 0.25 unprintable area on my printer. That would leave roughly
0.25 inches to print the page number. Try using a smaller font and check
your printer driver specifications for the unprintable area. Then you'll
know what the maximum height of the text can be.
