Report for Check printing

edited January 2002 in General
I am trying to create a report that will allow check printing. The
style of check is 8.5 x 11 and contains stub check stub. I have a
header detail and summary setup for printing. A sub report is on the
header and summary bands. If I set the bands to static size the sub
reports do not print. I need to have everything print on static bands
or the check will not look correct.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Craig

Use a 'Fixed' style subreport. Set the Subreport's PrintBehavior property
to accomplsh this. Then you'll need to resize the subreport component to
the size that you want it to print within.

    In article <8EAE82296ACCD311A039005004E0CAC0062C02@DMSERVER>,
    support@digital-metaphors.com says...

Tried that and received a second page with the sub reports on them.

What I've tried so far and it seems to work is, leave the sub reports as
child and set the detail band's print position to 3. Any problems doing
this? Or should I look further into a "fixed" solution?

    Thanks,

    Craig

PrintPosition is a good alternative. It should be ok, if the subreport's
    bands are static height.
