Background printing

D5 and RB6.2.
Is there a way to print a report in background, after a preview?
My users are complaining about they have to wait doing nothing until rb
sends completely the report to a network printer or the printing is
broken (epson inkjets)

You could generate the report to archive, and then at a later time, send the
archive pages to the printer. If Report.CachePages is False, then RB has to
generate the report pages for the printer. Once a page is generated, RB
then sends it to the spool to be printed.

Another option: launch an out-of-process COM object which contains an exact
duplicate of the report. The app will run to completion while your user
continues on their way...
