New Blog Posts: Merging Reports - Part 1 and Part 2

attachments...

edited February 2002 in General
I have been attempting for a couple of weeks to get some help with some
footer-related questions. I first posted a message on 1/31/02 and that
message had an attached jpg image. I then submitted a quick message on
2/12/02 asking for help on the previously submitted questions. That time I
didn't include the jpg image. I got a response from Jim B. stating that he
never saw my original message. So, then, I submitted my post again,
including the jpg image, on 2/13/02 and still have no response. I'm guessing
that at least some people aren't seeing the message and I am suspecting that
the attachment may be causing some kind of problem.

So, anyway, Jim B., could you see my 2/13 message? Are attachments allowed
in this newsgroup? I can see the messages using Outlook Express.

    Bob,

attachments aren't allowed, send it to support@digital-metaphors.com.
I see both messages, there is an answer from Brian Evans for your message
    from 2002-02-13.

I sent you an email, perhaps it was the wrong email address, cuz I was going
to delete the message from the newsgroup, but time was running short for me
yesterday, so it is still on the server. Here's what I wrote to you:

    1. The page footer band cannot resize itself dynamically and stretching
controls won't work in this band. The reason is that the footer band must be
aligned to the bottom of the page, and the report engine will generate bands
down until it reaches the reserved space for the footer.

    2. Since stretching isn't supported in the footer, you'll have to set the
top property of the bottom memo to take the place of the invisible memo in
    those cases.

    3. Make sure the BottomOffset and PrintPosition properties are zero on the
outer group footer band. Other than that, it should always print below the
inner (second) group footer band. Are you using RB 6.03?

    Cheers,
