List Index out of bounds - again and again

edited February 2002 in General
I'm really getting tired of seeing this message!! I'm trying to print
4 x 6 postcards in landscape mode but when I try to adjust the margins
or resize the richedit control I get the list out of bounds error
message and have to close Delphi and start over. My problem is that
the card prints but the right 1/2 inch is cut off (bottom margin as it
prints). I've tried adjusting the margins in the rtf control and
Report Builder with no luck. I'm using Wptools richedit control,
Delphi 6 with RB 6.03. Can you tell me what is causing the list index
out of bounds error message. I have had these before and I see other
people in the group have also. Any help appreciated.

I'm not able to reproduce the problem. However, I don't have WPTools
installed, and am using the 'out of the box' TRichedit support in RB. Most
likely the problem could be from the RB rich text wrapper that WPTools
created. Have you tried contacting WPTools about this? I would send them a
simple working example project, and the steps to reproduce the problem. Is
this problem reproducable without the WPTools component in the report?

    Jim,

It is not Wptools's fault as I get the same result with RB's richtext
component. I have had these list index out of bound errors since I've
been using RB from time to time. I notice a lot of other users in this
forum have reported them. Do you know what could be causing these
errors? It seems to happen when I adjust the margins or make any
change to the size of the report. This is very frustrating because
when I get the error nothing I try seems to correct the problem. I
have to close the form without saving and reopen it.

    Thanks.

I have not been able to reproduce this. Not exactly sure what it could be.
If you can come up with any steps or configuration that reproduces it, send
it our way. I'll keep trying to see if I can come across this problem. Do
you ever see this problem when creating a report at runtime?
