TppTeeChart question

edited February 2002 in General
I just added a TppTeeChart to one of my reports...haven't used one before on
a report. Anyway, when I try to compile, I get a message that a file called
lEditCha.dcu can't be found. What is this file and where do I get it from? I
am using Delphi 5 and RB 6.03.

If you don't ave the full version o teechart (available from teemach.com),
you will beed to build your project using packages to make it work.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply...that could help. However, I'd like to understand
something a little better here. If that's the problem, they why is it that I
can use the TChart components (same version 4.02) on my regular forms (not
report forms) without building my project using packages?

We've fixed this problem (for the next release) for RB standard users who
have Teechart as it is installed with Delphi- you won't have to purchase
Teechart to compile an app with a chart in the report. When you compile with
RB, it pulls everything that it needs to in order to build the RB teechart
wrapper that can be used in the runtime report designer.

Cool Jim...when do you expect this release to be "released"?!

  • edited March 2002
RB 6.03 has proven overall to be a very stable release. From what upper
management is saying, we probably will not have a maintenance release soon.

Is the fix pretty simple to implement? If so, could you post the fix or
email it to me? Otherwise, bummer!

This won't be available until the next maintenance release. Thankyou, for
    your patience.
