With a memo my report take a very, very long time to preview
Hello,
I have a report who works well.
After inserting a TppMemo component in a GroupFooterBand, the report takes a
really long time to preview (or print). I have nothing in my memo, only drag
the TppMemo on my report.
I've noticed the same with your examples (Report Builder Demo reports). If
there's a memo in the report it takes a very, very, very long time.
This happens in D5(SP1) and D6(SP1).
I'm working with W2K pro and i'm logging as an administrator.
Report Builder is Enterprise edition v6.03.
Can someone help me ?
Thanks
Best regards

driver during preview to compute report pagination. Try setting the
PrinterSetup.PrinterName property of the Report to Screen to see if the
speed of the Report preview changes. As a test try updating the printer
driver or using a different printer.

When I asked this question I was by a customer (with my laptop) and my
default printer was not there...
Later, on the customer's machines this didn't happened. And this morning in
my office it rolls...
I think you're right, it has something to do with the printer.
But it strange that I had the problem only when I've added the memo field.
When I've deleted the memo field I came back to anormal situation.
(I have a lot of fields in this report)
Much thanks.
Regards.
