Congratulations to D-M!
Congratulations, guys, on winning the Delphi Informant Reader's Choice award
for Best Reporting Tool yet again this year! How many years in a row is
that now? And with 54% of the votes, no less. Way to go!

are there any _real_ competitors???

of the year for second consecutive year.
Extracted from the page:
"t's déjà vu all over again in this penultimate category as well. Digital
Metaphors' ReportBuilder retains the
crown with 11% of the votes (last year it had 10%),"
More software companies should take lessons from
Digital-Metaphors. RBuilder won the best in category for several
reasons, including a great product, top-notch customer service, a
reasonable pricing structure, a fantastic upgrade policy, and great
support.
I have seen some very good products crash because they could
not get the entire equation working. Hats off to the entire
organization!

the Server Edition that I didn't even see this post until this morning!
Product of the Year - 4 years in a row.
Best Reporting Tool - 4 years in a row.
No company has ever done this in the history of the awards.
This is a tribute to all of you who have voted and kept voting! We do our
best to turn the great ideas and the problems that you bring to us into
solutions that everyone can use. If we can't get something in the product
immediately, we try to provide a reasonable workaround so you can keep
moving forward. Our hope, of course, is that you will be happy enough to
recommend us to other developers - that drives sales and gives us the
resources necessary to keep enhancing the product. So far this strategy
seems to be working, and it's all thanks to you, our customers and
collaborators!
In 2002 we expect to complete the biggest release since Subreports (3.0) or
DADE (4.0) or RAP (5.0). It's the Server Edition, and shows our recognition
that web solutions are now fully mainstream and demand is high. If you will
be attending BorCon, please come by the Vendor Showcase on:
Wednesday, May 22
1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
Room 303D
This presentation isn't some slide show; it's a full-blown live coding
session on a real LAN, using the Server Edition to go from Delphi reporting
app to web reporting app. So if you're going to be there, be sure to come
by and see us.
Thanks again for making these awards happen - it's going to be a top-notch
2002, and we look forward to working with you throughout!
