AV in groups

edited May 2002 in General
Adding several items in the group editor cause av to occur, message: "Access
Violation at address 40069CB4 in module 'VCL50.bpl'. A component named
ppGroupHeaderBand1 already exists".
Anybody seen this before?

I'm using Delphi 5 with all updates,
ReportBuilder 6.03 standard ,
Windows Y2K

Thanks,
Lars.

This is not a known error. If you are able to reproduce this every time you
might need to reinstall Delphi and RB.

Huu, reinstall, no fun! I'm not poking around in the groups editor that much
so I think I just try to live with it as it is. By the way could GExperts or
    FreeVCS effect this?

    Thanks,
    Lars.

It may be something like GExperts which is causing it. One test is to
uninstall these components and see if the problem goes away. Are you able
to reproduce the problem in the runtime designer, or is this a Delphi design
time only problem? If you can reproduce the problem at runtime, please give
us the steps necessary to reproduce the AV.

As I said before, I'm not using the group's editor that often with more then
one group at a time so I just try to live with it the way it works now.
The error occurred while adding groups, never else. I've just tried it in
    the Delphi designer.

    Thanks,
    Lars.
